David Manly, the associate editor of Canadian Poultry and the
web editor of the Agro-biomass website, loves science and wants to share
that enthusiasm with others.
Armed with an honours bachelor of science in biology, ecology and zoology from York University (he wrote his honours thesis on frogs) and a masters in journalism from Carleton, he set out over a year ago to bridge the gap between the academic world and the general public by writing about science.
David is keenly interested in learning about new species, and about all things involving genetic engineering: fighting superbugs, genetic modification of crops and stem cell research.
Since graduating in April 2010, he has written for a variety of publications including the CMAJ, the ACER journal and Scientific American.
